For this year’s international women’s day, we decided to do something a bit different. Instead of writing a blog post on ‘top feminist marketing campaigns of all times’ or something like that (like we would normally do) this time we’ve decided to highlight the women in our team.
Women who are as different as the countries they come from but, at the core, have had very similar life experiences. For example, at some point, they all decided to leave the ‘comfort’ of their home in order to pursue a dream in a different country.
Redefining Girl Power: The Printsome Team
We sat down with them and asked them a couple of questions just to get to know them. From UI design to SEO and sales, these are the people who make Printsome every day a better place to work at.
Claudia – Artwork Manager
Claudia is our in-house graphic design guru. If you have ordered garments from us lately then your visual proof probably went through her hands. She’s usually quiet but when she opens her mouth it is to say the right joke or surprise us with her vast knowledge of pop culture.
Natalie – UI/UX Designer
The newest face to join our team as a UI designer, Natalie moved very recently from Stockholm to explore new opportunities in sunny Barcelona. As a football fan, I think she will find herself very much at home with the intensity of the fans of the local club.
Sara – Online Marketing
Did you find us via Google? Then you have Sara to thank for that because she is our SEO wizard. She’s passionate about surfing and has got the most contagious laugh in the entire office.
Sezen – Marketing Intern
We don’t have a most stylish award but if we did, Sezen would win it. She recently made a complete 180, when she decided to stop pursuing a career in engineering to study fashion marketing. I’m sure the fashion industry will appreciate it.
Paula M – Sales
Paula joined us late last year to help us in the Spanish sales department. Needing a change, she once quit everything to move to Southeast Asia with just a backpack. Trivia: Paula is One’s mum. (One – it’s pronounced Ohnneh as in Sand in Hawaiian – is our office dog).
Paula R – Spain Director and Cofounder
You may remember her from our famous Brand Colour Swap series but Paula is much more than just a creative graphic designer. For starters, she’s is the co-founder of Printsome, chief designer (which means it all looks nice thanks to her) and, since last year, is in charge of our Spanish branch, as well. Needless to say, there’s a lot on Paula’s plate but you would never guess thanks to her ability to keep her cool even in the tensest of situations.
Veronica – Marketing Intern
Veronica is from Costa Rica and has been working as an intern for the Spanish marketing team for a couple of months now. In her spare time, she likes to practice her photography skills.
Viki – Graphic Designer
The other half of our graphic design team. If Viki is not designing, you’ll find her either hiking or practising tai chi. She also has a particular sense of humour which she loves to show off in WhatsApp groups.

Visit our website to find out more.[/container] [/content_band]Do you have a female role model? If so, who?
Claudia: For me, it’s absolutely impossible to mention only one woman that has inspired me. Girls like PJ Harvey, Kim Gordon, Kim Deal, Amanda Palmer and Marjane Satrapi, just to name a few, inspired me A LOT when I was younger. On a more personal note, my three sisters inspire me every day by being super dedicated and engaged in amazing causes and also both my grandmothers have incredible life stories. I feel super lucky for having such powerful female figures in my life!
Natalie: Women making it in the tech industry.
Paula R: Mum, of course. Plus any successful female entrepreneur that has built her company from scratch like Barbara Corcoran.
Sezen: Coco Chanel.
Veronica: My mother, really.
What’s your favourite place in the world?
Natalie: Anywhere close to the ocean.
Paula M: Butler’s Bay in Little Andaman, India. Check it out. I completely recommend it!
Paula R: Home.
Sara: It’s not just one. There are many and the only thing they have in common is that in these places I can be myself!
Viki: Earth, nature, home.
Sezen: Venice.
Veronica: It’s called Puerto Viejo, in the Caribbean, in Costa Rica. It’s magical.
What are you passionate about?
Claudia: Food, longboarding, comics, music, design and lettering, among other things.
Natalie: Design, sports and travel.
Paula R: Growing as a person.
Sara: Surfing but not wild waves.
Viki: Being environmentally friendly
Sezen: Discovering new colours.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Claudia: I’m writing my second graphic novel at the moment.
Natalie: Trying to turn Printsome’s mobile experience into something awesome.
Paula R: Printsome’s new product release, our print on demand services.
Viki: Learning tai chi with swords.
If you could swap places with someone for a day, who would it be?
Natalie: Anyone in FC Barcelona.
Paula M: Definitely, ONE! Eat, play, sleep…
Paula R: Lady Gaga, probably haha.
Sara: Any PRO surfer. Just to experience a tube ride at least once.
Sezen: Anna Wintour.
What’s your favourite part about working for Printsome?
Claudia: Having One around every day and the work environment in general.
Natalie: Its people.
Paula M: Being part of the Printsome family (finally!). So that’s my favourite part — the ‘family’ vibe.
Paula R: To see your own personal project develop — and the environment is also great.
Sara: The international team, the terrace in summer and, of course, the free beers every Friday.
Viki: Its friendly and professional environment.
Sezen: The people.
Veronica: I learn new things every day.
Note: Yes, we got people twice because we’re super friendly.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working for Printsome?
Paula M: Eating chips and lying on the sofa while watching TV (the honest truth right here!).
Paula R: Working on another startup/project.
Sara: I’d still be doing SEO but maybe in another country.
Viki: El Camino de Santiago or an extensive trip through Latin America or Asia.
Veronica: I’d be sad at home. ?
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Claudia: I once worked as a hand double for Alison Pill in a movie. I don’t know if it’s the craziest thing I’ve ever done but it’s one of the most unusual, for sure haha!
Natalie: Quit my full-time job in Stockholm and move to Barcelona.
Paula M: Quit my job, donate all of my belongings and move to Southeast Asia with nothing but a backpack!
Paula R: Leave home and move to Spain, for good. Never an easy decision to make.
Sara: I decided to move 8,000 km away from home, alone, with no money and to a place with very few work opportunities… Seven years later, I can say it was definitely worth it!
Viki: After finding success in a foreign country, I decided to leave my hard-earned stability and start again from scratch somewhere else.
Sezen: I quit pursuing my career in engineering to move to Barcelona and study marketing.
Veronica: Cannot comment haha.
