This time around we bring you Omar and his brand new apparel line Chroma Clothing. A colourful line that’s inspired by some of this century’s most influential concept designers.

Interviewing Omar, founder of Chroma Clothing
Tell us about you, what’s your name? Where are you from? What do you do?
My name is Omar Hason and I’m from just outside Boulder, Colorado, though I’ve lived all across the Western US. I am an architect by training and someone who has always loved graphics, visualisations, and design. Professionally, I want to bring good design to all aspects of my life and the lives of others which I hope to do in a big way.
What about your brand? What’s its name? What makes it unique?
The dictionary definition of chroma is “the purity or intensity of colour,” and our designs speak that language fluently. Through simple geometries and vivid colours, we aim to create apparel at the intersection of art and edge. Though easily mistaken for cute, our designs always have a humorous dark side. Never compromising, we constantly push to create things that are uniquely Chroma and we embrace every aspect of the design process, especially our failures.
If it were a person, what would he/she be like?
Think Mary Blair and Tim Burton’s baby.
Simplicity is key, describe your brand in three words:
Vivid, edgy, simple
For how long have you been selling T-shirts? Any remarkable story you learnt on the way? Any advice for beginners?
We have been in business for a few months now. By far, the biggest thing we’ve learned is that you must be unique and persistent. There are a lot of people trying to make it in the apparel industry, but if you aren’t passionate, you won’t last long. If you don’t believe your own message, it will definitely get lost in the mix.
Key question, why should people be interested in your brand?
We love what we do and what Chroma stands for, and we try our best to do things in a unique way. We see our tees as art prints made in limited batches. This makes the brand a really perfect fit for people that value being an individual.
