Interviewing Michael and Kyle, founders of Mirykle

Tell us about you, what’s your name? Where are you from? What do you do?

Hello, our names are Michael Reid and Kyle King and we are the owners of the MIRYKLE Clothing Company (pronounced like ‘miracle’.) We were born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where we currently work every day overseeing daily operations and growing the MIRYKLE brand.

What about your brand? What’s its name? What makes it unique?

MIRYKLE Clothing was created when I (Michael) went T-shirt shopping and couldn’t find anything that I like or wanted. I left the store and decided that I was going to make my own t-shirts. So I called Kyle and told him that I was going to start making my own shirts and he said that if I wanted someone to help me that he was down to help.

We were looking to create something different but still be able to incorporate our names. One day MIRYKLE popped in my head and I sent Kyle a text that only said MIRYKLE. He got it right away and that’s how the MIRYKLE brand was created. MIR comes from my name Michael Reid and YKLE is Kyle. We are unique because we take a portion from each purchase and donate it to a charity of your choice. Most of our support goes to cancer awareness as it is close to me because my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and my grandfather who is my hero is currently fighting lymphoma cancer. So we are currently creating a campaign to help support my grandfather and his battle with cancer.

If it were a person, what would he/she be like?

If the MIRYKLE brand were a person he or she would find ways to use their creativity to help others in need and leave a lasting impression.

Simplicity is key, describe your brand in three words:

MIRYKLE is life

For how long have you been selling t-shirts? Any remarkable story you learnt on the way? Any advice for beginners?

We started selling shirts in 2013 and do not have any remarkable stories yet but looking to change that soon. The only advice I have is to find something that you believe in and pursue it. Figure out what resources you have and use them. Make sure you do your research because it will save you money in the long run.

A key question, why should people be interested in your brand?

People should be interested in the MIRYKLE brand because we give you the choice on where your donation goes. During checkout, you just tell us the name of your charity of choice and we will make a donation for you. We also like participating in joint ventures with other brands to help a cause.

Are you on Social Media? Where can we find you?
